Advertising Policy
What we will and won't run on Mystara — and how we keep ads from polluting the experience.
Editorial independence
Advertisers never influence our editorial content, the cards drawn, or your reading interpretation. Our recommendations and guides are independent of any ad relationship.
What we accept
- Brands that align with reflection, wellbeing, journaling, mindfulness, or the arts.
- Sponsored content that is clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Ad."
- Affiliate links, disclosed per our affiliate policy.
What we don't accept
- Advertising for predatory psychic services that promise curse removal, reunite-your-ex spells, or guaranteed outcomes.
- Multi-level marketing schemes.
- Adult content, weapons, gambling targeted at vulnerable audiences, or anything illegal.
- Misleading health, financial, or "miracle cure" claims.
- Discriminatory, hateful, or harassing content.
Targeting
Where ads exist, we prefer contextual targeting (based on the page) over behavioral targeting (based on tracking you). We do not allow advertisers to target users based on sensitive categories.
Disclosure
Sponsored placements are visually distinct from editorial content and labeled accordingly. If you ever see an ad on Mystara that doesn't meet this standard, please report it: legal@mystarareadings.com.
